Mission Statement

The Recreation Division delivers diverse, innovative, and equitable programs that inspire youth development, active lifestyles, and positive community engagement. We partner with families, schools, and local organizations to provide safe, structured, and enriching opportunities in sports, arts, leadership, and out-of-school-time (OST) activities. 

Vision Statement

To be a national model of urban recreation where every child and adult has access to high-quality programs that promote growth, safety, and community pride. We strive to continually modernize our offerings, expand partnerships, and meet residents where they are through programs that reflect the city’s needs.

 

   How to setup a RecDesk account on Community

Rec Desk is a unique and effective online tool allow residents to search and register for recreational programs citywide.

Log in – jcrec.recdesk.com

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIRST TIME USERS

  • Click CREATE ACCOUNT and complete all questions.
  • Then click ADD HOUSEHOLD MEMBER for each person in household.
  • After signing in, click PROGRAMS
  • Filter by CATEGORY
  • Click REGISTER and continue until registration is complete.

Only one account per family! Please don’t create multiple accounts for the same household.
