Citi Bike Program Expansion
Phase 1: Expansion Underway
Jersey City is completing Phase 1 of the Citi Bike Program Expansion in 2026. With support from grant funding provided by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (NJ DCA) to improve access to the Port Liberte Ferry Terminal, the City is installing 25 new Citi Bike stations in Greenville, Bergen-Lafayette, Jackson Hill, and West Side neighborhoods. These new stations expand access to bike share while improving connections to transit, jobs, schools, parks, and other destinations.
Phase 2: Future Expansion Planning
Building on the success of Phase 1, the City is currently developing Phase 2 of the Citi Bike Program Expansion. This effort will evaluate opportunities for additional infill stations and strategic expansion throughout Jersey City to improve system coverage, strengthen connections to transit, and expand access to bike share for residents citywide.
The City is currently accepting suggestions for future Citi Bike station locations. Residents are encouraged to submit comments, ideas, and location recommendations by emailing
